Electoral College In the past thirty years, the political choices of several States have dramatically changed. This owes to the reality that the Republican advantage in the Electoral College has changed in the favor of the Democratic Party. In fact, democrats increased their numbers (in 2008) in both houses of congress results in the notion that a new Democratic era began.
