Demonstrate Critical reflection and ongoing development. This assessment focuses on your ability to develop an

ePortfolio that you will build upon throughout your nursing program and your professional nursing career.

The use of an ePortfolio, as a student, will facilitate your personal reflections and allow you to document your individual professional development. The Learning Plan in
this course will assist you to identify your learning needs based upon the Course Objectives and the NMBA (2006) National Competency
Standards forthe RN. Demonstrate your ability to reflect on your learning.

The following is considered equivalent to the length of2,500

words for this assessment task:

Part 1: Introduction: to the e-portfolio. For an example: Hi and welcome to my nursing portfolio. lam a

student at the University ofAustralia and am in my second year ofthe Bachelor of Nursing program. Before I started this program, I
completed my studies at Middlesex University at London as Master in Human Resource Management with Marketing and I currently work part-time
at the Hospital.

My portfolio includes a number of assignments from my program and placements as evidence towards meeting the Competencies
forthe RN outlined by the ANMC. It also includes evidence of my reflection and learning plans which provide details of my CPD goals. I have
learnt a great deal from my studies and am looking forward to continuing to develop my skills in this profession throughout my career.

This section will outline your nursing philosophy. It will provide an overview of your understanding of

what it means to be a nurse and the thinking and beliefs about the role of nursing.

competencies according to the National Competency Standards forthe Registered Nurse produced by the Australian Nursing 8. Midwifery Council.
You will match your assignments in the Evidence of Learning section and your reflections on your learning in the Reflection section.
